It’s been a while since I’ve updated but here we go!

We had a good BSPS champs with Katy Schreiber and Barcliffe Balmoral coming 3rd in the Young Int SRT against much more established animals.  He also gained a 41/50 ride Mark in the novice but still looked a bit immature stripped, after all he was still a baby in a field this time last year ! He also went to Royal Lancs where he was 3rd in the part bred and 2nd in the intermediate.  We’re so pleased with his progress and will show him a bit over the winter as well as doing a bit of dressage before giving him a break.

Jess Lee and Ashlands Maiden Law have had an up and down time as they sort through confidence issues but I could not have been happier with them both. I rode Tinks , as she’s known at home, in the small hack hoys qualifier.  There were 22 in there and it wasn’t the biggest ring but she went really well and just cracked on. She gave the judge a decent ride and went sweetly for me in her show. She’s two more chances to qualify for HOYS so let’s see.

Wychwood Fun Boys has only been with us a short time but picked up placings in nearly all his classes at the champs.  As with all new combinations , it’s a case of perfecting the communication so we had some great bits and some not so but he and Leila are getting together well.

I rode Gaby Dunn’s  lovely coloured cob at Festival of Hunting and came 4th in the HOYS qualifier before winning at Bakewell and qualifying!

I was also 2nd at both shows with Nicola Reynolds’ Hermits China Lace. We have been involved with this fabulous mare from a three year old and she gives you everything.

Stacey showed Alex Whitehead’s Hero in the in hand SHP at Ribble Valley RC where he won. This is a great club show with a really excellent standard . He will be out in ridden classes over the winter.

That’s all for now!
