What awful weather we’e had but it hasn’t dampened our enthusiasm! We’ve had a very busy winter with lots of ponies and horses ( mainly cobs?) for backing and schooling.  I love detangling mixed up animals and then seeing their confidence grow as they establish a partnership with their riders. We include all lessons in our full  livery so that people can get all the help they need

We did our first show of 2018 yesterday, NCPA Cheshire  at Reaseheath College. My own Pendle First Light won the NCPA Registered and Show Hunter Pony in hand then stood reserve in hand before taking reserve supreme of Show!

We also took Hero who is a novice part bred pony who has taken a long time to get going.  He had a bad start to the day when a horse got loose and really upset him but we managed to get him in the ring and complete 2 classes although not without incident.  Anyway you kearney from everything you do so hopefully next time will go better.

I’ve been very busy with lessons and clinics and I’m seeing great progress from everyone.  It’s the best feeling seeing people becoming more skilful and surprising themselves
